Brierley Hill Bullets F.C.
The Presidents Cup – Brierley Hill Bullets 11-A-Side v Brierley Hill Bullets Mini Soccer.
On Sunday 27th December 2009, Managers, Coaches and Parents from Brierley Hill Bullets F.C. will take part in a Charity Football Match in aid of Help for Heroes.
Team made up of 11-A-Side, Managers, Coaches and Parents will be managed by Club Secretary James Didlock and the team made up of Mini Soccer, Managers, Coaches and Parents will be managed by Club President Keith Sharman.
Match will be played over 90 minutes and if the game is still level the winners of The Presidents Cup will be decided on a penalty shoot out.
Entry into the game is £1.00 per adult and Under 16’s are free. Entry will include a raffle ticket.
Hot and Cold refreshments will be available on the day and also a penalty competition for all spectators.
Gates will open from 12:30pm with kick off at 1:30pm.

Good evening,

I was hoping you may be able to help Club Website in our quest to highlight the poor state of amateur football facilities in the UK.

At Grass Roots Football Live at the NEC in June we asked the footballing public to ‘Name their Revolution’ in a bid to uncover the big issues affecting today’s game. The reaction was incredible with a number of important issues coming to fore, none more so than the lack of decent facilities available to football clubs in this country.

As a result, Club Website is picking up the baton on this topic and we are currently asking clubs and players to highlight the poor facilities they have to endure week in, week out. The ultimate aim is to collate and present our ‘dodgy dossier’ of facilities to the game’s authorities along with local and central government to raise awareness of this issue.

Thank you all for attending the FA Safeguarding Children Workshop in time for affiliation this season.

All club welfare officers are required to attend an FA Welfare Officers Workshop. This is a mandatory requirement for nomination/affiliation for season 2010/2011.

Your club will not be able to affiliate if your CWO does not have ALL of the following:

1) An FA CRB

2) Safeguarding children workshop certificate

3) Welfare Officers workshop attendance

The FA Welfare Officers workshop is the second element of training, which looks at the role of the CWO, discusses legislation, statutory agencies, club safeguarding structure and case scenarios amongst other post related issues.

BCFA understands that it is a difficult time at the moment and have therefore agreed to fund the cost of the workshop by 50%, taking the cost down to just £10!!!

Please do not leave it until the last minute to access the training as this will have an impact on affiliation for season 2010/2011. You really need to take advantage of workshops that are organised as they are local. If you do not book onto a local workshop you may have to travel to find a workshop.

We have organised a workshop for Wednesday 4th November 2009 at the Ashwood Inn, Bells Lane , Stourbridge . Starting at 1900 and finishing at 2200. Places are limited to 24 and are allocated on a first come first reserved basis, where payment will secure your place.

REGISTRATION AND EMERGENCY SIGNINGS

There is an alarming amount of clubs not sending the paperwork in completed as required please follow these simple steps for registering your players.

REGISTRATIONS
• Complete your forms and cards in clear block capital letters.
• Stick with glue or pritt stick a photo size 4cm x 4.8cm in the top corner of the form and on the card with the same number on.
• Sign the forms after the players and parents have signed and printed and dated the form.
• Check the print has gone all the way through to the back copy.
• For all new clubs and teams collect original ID for each player and put with the form. Last years registration cards will be acceptable in most other cases.

EMERGENCY SIGNINGS.
• Complete the forms as above, take completed forms and cards to pitch, show the manager from other team and the Referee the card and the original ID ONLY they must sign the back, then you sign it and post all the forms, card and ID to your registration secretary with a cheque for £3. DO NOT post coins, these have to be received by the secretary within 48 hours, if putting through door coins may be put in envelope but please make sure envelope is sealed.
• Write your team name and age on the envelope.
• Enclose a SAE for the registration secretary to return your forms back to you. Please put correct postage on, you do not need to use a large (A3)envelope for these forms, fold them and put in normal size envelope with a first class stamp on. Try NOT to enclose Passports, try to get birth certificates or medical cards please.
• Any forms not completed in the correct way WILL be returned not registered and the child will have to wait until you complete the forms correctly.

TRANSFERS
• Complete a transfer form (downloadable from web site… www.sdyfl.org )
• Collect card and form (both documents needed) get the form signed and post off to registration secretary with £3 cheque. Put SAE in for the forms to be returned. Transfers take 7 (seven) days to complete.

DE-REGISTRATIONS
• Complete the New De-Reg form (downloadable from web site.) Send off to the registration secretary with £3 cheque.
• Only the manager or secretary from the out going club can send the card and form off the registration secretary NO forms to be given to the parents, players or new manager.
• If the player to be de-registered owes kit or any clothing or bags etc to the club then they have to return everything owing before the de-reg can go ahead.

APPOINTMENTS
• ALWAYS make an appointment with the registration secretary before you visit the house, please DO NOT just turn up.

Hello, sorry to be a nuisance, but i felt i had to correct my mistake. I wrote a complimentry email regarding the referee of our last game (Withymoor Colts V Wallheath Pumas) who was like a breath of fresh air( it said Alex Welch on your webpage). I have since been told the referee was Pete Jones and not Alex Welch. Could you please correct the message on your notice board to highlight the fact, he really deserves the credit, thanks. Mini-soccer rules clarification

There appears to be confusion with regard to the number of penalties that should be taken in mini-soccer cup matches that end in a draw. Two different referees have recently taken matches to sudden death after 3 penalties which contravenes SDYFL Cup and League rule number 11 on page 37 which states that 5 penalties must be taken by each team before sudden death applies. In one of the instances a complaint was submitted to the league which has resulted in the game unfortunately having to be replayed.

As the weather starts to deteriorate would all managers please try and get matches played by preparing the pitches a little earlier and perhaps take a broom to sweep the water away and a fork to airiate and drain water in order to get rid of surface water.

We are having so many postponements so much earlier in the season due to lack of preparation by managers we feel we must remind you that it is down to you to help yourselves.

Get one or two parents to help you prepare the pitch wherever possible. If the pitch is still not playable try to reverse the fixture. There is already a backlog of fixtures.

registration checks 27.6.09

Please note that all managers will now have in their fixtures a simple guide to registration checks. These must be done at each match whether you have played the team before or not. We have given these instructions to enable you to pick up on any illegible players that teams are likely to be trying to play, which is against all FA rules. Referees must allow this to take place before Kick Off and we suggest it is done whilst the referee is doing his/her jewellery - stud check which is also a FA rule. It should take no longer than 5 minutes so you must make sure you allow for this prior to Kick off, if it results in a late Kick off you will be fined for that as well as not doing the registration check. There will be spot checks throughout the season at all age groups to ensure you are carrying out this rule.
